To ensure food safety, we implement strict production and handling procedures based on the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical points) principles. Every day at our factories, numerous hygiene, biosafety and disinfection measures are implemented covering employees, means of transportation, equipment, food and production facilities.
Our process of poultry farming and meat production complies with the regulations of the Food and Veterinary Service and European Union legislation. We have also achieved the standards of quality that are recognized and respected throughout the world – we follow the internationally recognized BRC food standard and ISO 22000:2006 standards.
We ensure 100% traceability for all our finished products – we keep track of every step, all the way from the chickens’ parents to the customer.

The company attained BRC certificate in September, 2016. BRC Global Standards’ guarantee the standardisation of quality, safety and operational criteria and ensure that manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer.
The company attained the ISO 22000:2006 certificate in 2013. This certificate certifies that products have systematically assessed to eliminate the risks for human health during food production – ranging from suppliers of raw materials and packaging, control and traceability of the production process, including the supply process right through to the client. Potential risks are identified during each state of food production and a risk control mechanism has been introduced to eliminate them.

The company attained Halal certificate in January, 2016. The Halal certificate is a document that guarantees that products and services aimed at the Muslim population meet the requirements of Islamic law. Halal certification is a process which ensures the features and quality of the products according to the rules established by the Islamic Council. Halal certifies that the birds are slaughtered in a single cut, thoroughly bled, and their meat have not been in contact with animals slaughtered otherwise.
The Keyhole is owned by the Swedish Food agency and is a symbol that has existed in the Swedish market for 25 years. Foods labelled with the Keyhole contain less fat than food products of the same type not carrying the symbol. Key hole symbol on the package helps consumers identify the healthier options when buying food.

The company was founded in 1967. Over the years, it has acquired a wealth of experience and has refined long-established aviculture, as well as product production traditions.
2. Full production cycle and laboratory control of each stage of the cycle
The company’s operation are full-cycle starting from the maternal brood, which ensures incubation eggs in the required amount, right through to the delivery of ready products to retail outlets. Each production cycle is controlled and supervised, in accordance with the regulations of the Food and Veterinary Service and the European Union.
3. Poultry health and safety
Birds enjoy freedom of movement, fresh air, the optimal microclimate for the health of birds (temperature, lighting), as well as natural and healthy foodstuffs without growth stimulants;
The health and welfare of birds are supervised by the Food and Veterinary Service, whose regional branch is based at PF Ķekava.
